There are three ways of writing in Japanese which are hiragana, katakana and kanji. It might seem hard and you have to memorize a lot, but hiragana and katakana are pretty straight forward. You have a lot to memorize when it comes to kanji though. Let's just take a look at how they are and how it is used!

● ひらがな (Hiragana)

The most common and used letters.

● カタカナ (Katakana)

Letters to write foreign words in Japanese.

● 漢字 (かんじ/Kanji)
