McDonal’s launched Fish& Chips today (May 14th, 2019) across Canada for a limited time.
The Fish&Chips that McDonald’s launched today is made with two pieces of fried white fish and McDonald’s World Famous Fries and it comes with tartar dipping sauce. You can also make it meal.
Mcdonald’s is using white fish that is certified by MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) and it’s cooked with a golden and crunchy batter.
The price of Fish&Chips is around $7 and if you make it meal, it’s around $11. A box that the food is in is the same size as the box they use for poutine. So if you consider the size, it’s a little bit expensive.
McDonald’s did the test marketing for the food last summer in Atlantic, Canada and 86,500 Fish&Chips meals were sold only in three weeks.
The Fish&Chips that McDonald’s launched today is part of the promotion called “Great Canadian Tastes’” and it also launched one more thing, “Chocolate Nanaimo McFlurry“ which is “inspired by the Nanaimo bar, with coconut graham crumbs, chocolate chips and cocoa all swirled into vanilla soft serve and blended with fudge sauce“ according to Mcdonald’s.
This promotion is available until June 17th, 2019. So if you’re interested, you should go to McDonald’s ASAP to try Fish&Chips and Chocolate Nanaimo McFlurry.
